A building abandoned by a previous congregation presented a challenge.
Taking the Church to the People
Chiv visited the village of Banang and reached out to the people. He was joined by Dina Dim, who had attended school with Ban Ho. The two men began visiting with villagers and soon some were coming to worship services; others were sending their children. The first service held 15 attendees and now the congregation is 55 people strong. Dina Dim currently pastors the congregation at Banang.
Meeting the Needs of Children
Dina Dim now leads the church at Banang, holding Bible School for the many children in the village. A school was established at the church, also taught by Dim. This congregation has a sweet and lively spirit, with many children.
